Location

We are located in the Ice House complex at 217 S Liberty St #105, close to the corner of S Liberty St and W Bruce St in Harrisonburg, Virginia. When driving South on S Liberty St, we are on the right just before you reach the Harrisonburg Farmers Market at Turner Pavilion on the left and the Daily News Record on the right. Pale Fire Brewing Company is at the end of a paved turnaround. We are walking distance from all the shops and restaurants that downtown has to offer.

Hours of Operation

Sunday-Thursday 12-10
Friday-Saturday 12-11pm

Food Options

Yes, we serve Detroit-style pizza, salads, and appetizers! The kitchen is open daily with the taproom and you can order up until an hour before we close. Carryout also available! We are a tasting room for a production craft brewery so we don’t have a kitchen or full menu. We also sell Route 11 Potato Chips (Mount Jackson, VA).

We also have an open food policy. Nearby restaurants BoBoKo and Rocktown Kitchen offer exclusive delivery to our tap room whenever their kitchens are open! GiddyUp! Courier delivers food from several other local restaurants, too. Customers are also welcome to carry or order in their own food.

Parking

Our location does not offer much private parking, but there are plenty of options within walking distance. If walking is an issue, we have a paved turnaround in the front where you can drop off passengers at the door. All city owned parking is free, but time-limited. The nearest parking for the Tap Room is available at:

Dogs

Yes, we are dog friendly inside and out!

For the safety and comfort of all our customers, dogs must be friendly to humans and other dogs. They also must be on a leash and under their owner’s control at all times.

Growlers, Crowlers, & Beer To Go

You can take Pale Fire beer home with you in one of our 64oz logo growlers or 32oz crowlers! Discount growler fills available Mon-Fri 3-5pm and Sun 12-9pm. Or buy three crowlers and get $1 off each.

We have 16oz can 4-packs of Red Molly Irish Red Ale, Arrant India Pale Ale, and Like A Mug Pale Ale, Taking Water Cream Ale, Negative Boogie NEIPA, Floorwalker Double NEIPA, and Rollin’ Wave Hibiscus Lime Gose.

Purchase a Keg

We sell kegs out of the tap room, but as of right now we can’t guarantee a specific style or size. If you are interested, please contact our taproom at (540) 217-5452 or email us for more information.

Private Events & Large Group Reservations

Interested in having your next event or gathering at Pale Fire? We can accommodate and assist in the coordination of large gatherings or private events for groups as large as 150 people. Find more information on our Event Rental & Reservations page.

Beer Flights

Yes! If you’d like to try everything we brew or you just can’t decide on one then you can get a flight! All our beers are available in individual 4oz sample pours or a flight of five beers (4oz each) of your choice. 10oz and 16oz pours are also available.

Non-Alcoholic Drinks

We offer a rotating flavor of kombucha on draft from Blue Ridge Bucha (Nellysford, VA), and a variety of soft drinks (Coca-Cola, Coke Zero, Sprite, Pibb Xtra, and Minute Maid Lemonade).

Wine, Cider, & Gluten Free

We do not currently offer or have plans to produce a gluten free beer, but we serve wine, Sage Bird Ciderworks cider, and cocktails.

Tours

We don’t currently offer regularly scheduled tours of the brewery, but you can see most of our operation from the Tap Room through three large windows.

Live Music

Yes, we have live music most Friday nights! Any future live music or events can be found on our Events page or on Facebook. If you’re interested in playing at Pale Fire, please contact us.

“96 Songs”

The soundtrack to our Tap Room is a selection of playlists with 96 songs each. We challenged our friends to select 96 (and only 96) of their favorite tunes and create a playlist specifically for use at Pale Fire. Needless to say, we were pleased with the results. Follow us on Spotify and listen for yourself!
