Her sound has been compared to Ani DiFranco\, Lianne La Havas and Joni Mitchell. \nLanusa is a Nashville-born artist with roots in folk\, influenced by jazz and soul. Her songs are spacious\, with shifting grooves and lyrics that reward close listening. Formerly based in New York and new to the Valley\, she’s toured nationally\, and is currently completing a new album\, set to release in 2025. \nLanusa is the music project of Kathryn Nusa Logan. The name was created and gifted by Jessica Logan in 2003. Raised in a musical family in Nashville\, Logan’s father was a folk musician and sound engineer\, and her grandmother wrote musicals and played jazz standards. She grew up singing with the Nashville Children’s Choir and studied guitar through Nashville Metro Parks with blues guitarist James “Nick” Nixon. Foundational influences range from Ani DiFranco\, D’Angelo\, Jonatha Brooke\, Amel Larrieux\, Bill Evans\, Patty Griffin\, and Paul Simon to her father’s work in bluegrass\, folk\, and rock\, her grandparents’ love for big band and jazz\, and her mother’s love for Joni Mitchell\, Indigo Girls\, and Tracy Chapman. Lanusa’s songwriting draws from these diverse sounds. \nIn 2010\, Lanusa released her Skies | Floor EP\, followed by Noah Feels August Like I Feel August (2013). In 2015\, she released Skeletons as Leavers\, co-produced with Myles Rodenhouse at Douglass Street Records. Praised for emotionally charged compositions\, Skeletons as Leavers was described by Skull and Bones Blog as “haunting\, musically sophisticated\, and beautiful.” The single “Sea to Seek” blends folk and jazz tones\, with rhythmic guitar\, percussion\, and harmonies supporting sweeping\, raw melodies. Lanusa’s songs feature distinctive rhythms\, emotional power\, and lyrics that reward close listening. Performing live since 2003\, she has played notable NYC venues like Rockwood Music Hall and Arlene’s Grocery and toured across the US.

A self taught guitarist\, he was eventually drawn to more soulful music without limiting himself to any one genre. Bluegrass\, Jazz\, Folk\, Blues\, and Rock; if his heart felt it\, he played it. His open-minded musical spirit inevitably led him to unearthing a knack for writing songs of his own and adding them seamlessly into his every-day playing. His passion for music has put him on stage in such locations as South Carolina\, Florida\, Virginia\, West Virginia\, and even in Guantanamo Bay Cuba. His musical experience offers a collection of hand selected compositions that leave the listener feeling emotionally engaged and intrigued by both the lyrics and the often improvised instrumentals that accompany them. They range from the greats such as Bob Dylan\, Grateful Dead\, Hank Williams\, Sr\, and Norman Blake to lesser known traditional ballads\, dug up from American history and brought before you in his own style. His carefully crafted original tunes compliment the style of his influences and offer power and substance while taking a place on the Americana stage in their own right. Oftentimes\, you find yourself chuckling to his lyrical quips\, tapping your foot to the traditional flat-picking\, or spontaneously joining in a chorus to a newly introduced song like an old familiar ballad. Whatever Bryan presents on stage you are guaranteed a unique journey through his collective songbook with surprises along the way that leave you feeling like you are part of the music.

Her songs have been showcased on various playlists\, including “All New Country\,” “New Music Friday Country\,” “Fresh Finds\,” “New Boots\,” “Country Risers” and “CMT Next Women of Country.” \n​As an independent artist\, Hayden has had ten songs (and counting) featured on national radio via the Women of iHeartCountry show that airs on all 150+ iHeartCountry stations. Drawing from a variety of musical backgrounds\, they blend their varying musical talents into their own unique sound. The band started off primarily as a cover band but quickly learned the joys of writing and composing their own original music. They released their first full-length studio album\, composed of all original songs titled “Some Days” in July\, 2024 and released their second studio album titled “Jack” seven months later\, in February 2025. \nThey have played numerous jam-packed and sold-out shows throughout Central Virginia including hometown favorites “The Music Hall” and Lynchburg Academy of the Arts’ “Warehouse Theatre.” While they have shifted more into the realm of original music\, they still love rocking to their favorite covers ranging from The Grateful Dead to Tom Petty to ’90s Alt Rock to Current Hits.

Free to play and winning teams get cool prizes. \nEach quiz consists of seven rounds of eight questions each\, in a variety of formats\, including audio and visual rounds. Bonus questions sprinkled throughout the quiz will net you additional goodies. \nTeams can be up to six players\, so bring your smartest friends (or some likable dummies) — or come solo. \nAnswer all the questions on your phone\, so make sure someone comes arrives with a full charge.\nWe often have a full taproom for dinner AND trivia so please wait until 7pm or later to arrive.
